The true multi-component analysis determines moisture, fat, protein, Collagen, BEFFE and ash all at once with correlations very close to manual methods.
German Food and Feed Code L 06.00-64 § 64LFGB Offical Method § 64 LFGB Method according to ASU L 08.00-60 for „Determination of raw protein, water, fat ash and BEFFE content in Wurstwaren (sausage products), meats- and meat products, NIR Near Infrared Spectroscopy”.
3
MODULAR
• Small sample quantity
• Quick sample preparation
• Simple sample presentation in sample cups
4
FAST
With the SpectraAlyzer MEAT a single multi component test can be run in less then a minute including sample preparation.
5
SMART
The SpectraAlyzer MEAT is an all-in-one instrument, where connected intelligent accessories are controlled with the integrated instruments processor. The analytical performance is independent of the sample temperature, so that even warm or cold process samples can be analysed as is.
6
CONNECTED
The SpectraAlyzer MEAT saves all data on an integrated SQL database. Connected to the companies LAN or the internet the integrated web server enables the data access and instrument control from virtually everywhere – anytime. Fit for LIMS, IoT and Industry 4.0!

Official Collection of Methods of Analysis
Method standardisation
The validation and standardisation of methods are important tools in the process of harmonising the proficiency of official food and feed control laboratories.
On the basis of § 64 Lebensmittel- und Futtermittelgesetzbuch (German Food and Feed Act, LFGB), §35 vorläufiges Tabakgesetz (German Preliminary Tobacco Act, VTabakG) and §28b Gentechnikgesetz (German Act on Genetic Engineering, GenTG), the BVL publishes an Official Collection of Methods of Analysis and Sampling. The BVL also hosts the coordination office for the implementation of these laws.
Experts from the fields of surveillance, science and the concerned industries develop procedures and assess the proficiency, reliability and comparability of the methods. They decide for which purposes and scopes of application the methods are to be used. Before they are included in the Official Collection, the methods are statistically tested by a number of laboratories in ring trials (collaborative trials) and are standardised.
Through the intensive collaboration with national (DIN), European (CEN) and international institutions of standardisation (ISO), the BVL supports the standardisation of methods and thus contributes to the reduction of trade barriers on a national and international level.
Legal importance of the Official Collection of Methods
Although official food control is under the responsibility of the federal states, the Official Collection provides a basis for the uniform quality of surveillance throughout Germany. This guarantees the uniform implementation of the existing laws.
With the methods of the Official Collection the experts have access to methods which are standardised and which they can apply without specific reasoning. Nevertheless it is up to the responsible authorities of the federal government and the federal states to commit the testing laboratories under their authority to use these methods. If an expert, due to his/her scientific convictions, prefers to apply a method that is not contained in the Official Collection, he/she has the possibility to do so. However, such a deviation needs an extensive justification, especially with regard to the reliability of the method used. No deviations are allowed from methods of analysis and sampling which were made mandatory by legal provisions.
