1
ALL IN ONE
Designed as a modular system, the SpectraAlyzer SUGAR analysis solution presents the quantitative analytical results of major quality parameters (dry matter, sucrose content, purity, ash content, glucose / fructose content) and many others within 45 seconds.
2
ACCURATE
As a stand alone system the SpectraAlyzer SUGAR can be operated very easily and intuitively – even close to the production line. The rugged construction and unique optical sample/reference setup ensures reliable operation in environments with fluctuating temperatures, vibrations and dust.
3
MODULAR
In sugar production processes, it is necessary to analyze samples at different stages of the production chain. In this process different physical sample states occur, such as. liquids, viscose samples and granules. For the analysis of these different sample types the SpectraAlyzer SUGAR offers the possibility to use two different drawers. With the liquid drawer, liquids can be easily pumped into the measuring cell and be analyzed. For the standard drawer, there are a variety of sample cups that are specifically designed for different samples.
4
FAST
The SpectraAlyzer SUGAR positioned as AT-Line unit on the production floor can analyse all kind juices, molasses, magmas, pan feed and massecuites for Brix, Pol, Ash, Sucrose, Glucose and Fructose within less than a minute.
5
SMART
The SpectraAlyzer sugar is an all-in-one instrument, where connected intelligent accessories are controlled with the integrated instruments processor. Its thermostated liquid cell with air re-cooling ensures the analytical performance independently of the sample temperature, so that even warm process samples can be analysed as is.
6
CONNECTED
The SpectraAlyzer sugar saves all the data on an integrated SQL database. Connected to the companies LAN or the internet the integrated web server enables the data access and instrument control from virtually everywhere – anytime. Fit for LIMS, IoT and industry 4.0
Sugar cane processing
Sugar cane analysis for quality and payment purposes can be performed directly in the truck unloading area. The samples of incoming cane taken by a core sampler from the truck are shredded and the cane juice for payment is analysed with the SpectraAlyzer SUGAR for crucial parameters eg. Pol, Brix (cane juice), Moisture and Fiber (shredded cane).
Cane Milling
The control of the various steps in the sugar milling process is vital to optimize the yield and sugar extraction efficiency. Like in the reception area, the shredded sugar cane juice can be analysed determining the recoverable sugar content. Moreover, all relevant juice streams can be analysed to check and optimize the extraction performance and minimize losses.
By-Products processing
The power of the SpectraAlyzer SUGAR is to analyze By-Products rapidly and has a huge impact on the overall efficiency of a sugar mill. The residual sugar content in bagasse, mud and the corresponding press juice are important indicators for the extraction yield. In addition, analysing the bagasse on moisture and fiber is of interest to optimize the By-Product value for gaining maximum usage of heat, steam and more frequently the generated bioelectricity. Reacting quickly on composition changes of the bagasse can save energy cost in a big scale.
Sugar Milling
During the different steps of processing the clarified juice into raw sugar, different intermediate products are generated, which need to be analyzed for a close process monitoring and control. The SpectraAlyzer SUGAR positioned as AT-Line unit on the production floor can analyse all kind juices, molasses, magmas, pan feed and massecuites for Brix, Pol, Ash, Sucrose, Glucose and Fructose within less than a minute.
Sugar Refinery
For the refinery process, the quality of the raw sugar is important. Here the parameters Pol, Moisture, Reducing Sugars, Ash (ICUMSA) are of major interest. During processing the intermediate products like molasses and other run-offs can be analysed for optimizing the refinery process overall. Final products like crystal sugar and syrups can also be analyzed for close quality control.

Fermantation/Bio-Alcohol
The fermentation of molasses and other sugars/run-offs and By-Products is a widely used production process to yield bio-ethanol. The SpectraAlyzer SUGAR allows the control of the process, starting from the raw materials, following the fermentation step and distillation/rectification to the final bio-ethanol. Typical parameters are: Alcohol, Sugars and Density.
