Product Description
Viscous Cup
The Viscous Cup is designed for the presentation and analysis of viscous samples for NIR measurement. It provides a practical and reliable solution for routine applications involving products such as condensed milk, honey, syrup, sweet fillings, and other highly viscous materials where consistent sample preparation is essential.
The samples are analysed in transflection mode with an adjustable and highly reproducible path length. The sample is applied directly to the passivated, gold-coated reflector and covered with a glass lid. Excess sample is displaced into the surrounding spill area, creating a homogeneous and bubble-free sample layer. Made of anodised aluminium, the Viscous Cup supports durable and convenient handling in routine use. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, including the determination of moisture in honey, fat in milk, alcoholic fillings in sweets, active ingredients in cosmetics, as well as Brix and polarization in sugar cane. This design supports reliable sample presentation and helps ensure accurate and repeatable NIR analysis results.
