Built for reliable grain quality assessment and assurance, SpectraAlyzer GRAIN NEO supports farmers, traders, and processors with fast, consistent results they can trust.

The SpectraAlyzer GRAIN NEO is an ideal solution for fast, reliable measurement of moisture, protein, fat/oil, ash, and other key quality parameters in grains, cereals, oilseeds, and flour. An all-new screw conveyor improves sample feeding and automatic discharge, allowing a wider range of materials to be handled smoothly and consistently.

Designed for true routine operation, SpectraAlyzer GRAIN NEO requires no grinding or additional sample preparation for many whole grains and oilseeds. With an increased optical path length, it supports accurate analysis of a broad range of whole-kernel materials. Dynamic Subsampling accelerates testing by automatically determining how many subsamples are needed and when results are stable—delivering final results in under 45 seconds.

For powder applications such as wheat flour, an optional Flour Module is available. In addition, each instrument can be (retro)fitted with a test weight module (bushel weight / hectoliter weight / specific weight) to determine the volume-to-weight ratio of analyzed samples.

The novel QX FEEDER – Quick lock feeder screw – demountable sample conveyor provides superior manual handling and easy cleaning access.

The WAVECHECK function ensures absolute wavelengths precision over time utilising an inbuild laser crystal.

MOBIPOWER allows 12/24 V Car, truck, tractor operation.

GRAIN NEO also introduces an enhanced user experience. The instrument is operated via a sophisticated, intuitive, icon-based software on a 12.1” PCAP glass touchscreen with a high-resolution 1280 × 800 color TFT display. High luminance and a large screen area support comfortable operation and clear data visualization in everyday use.

Automation and connectivity features further streamline workflows. Results can be connected to cloud-enabled processes and linked directly to ERP systems, reducing manual data handling and simplifying archiving. Measurement is performed using a silicon detector to capture diffusely transmitted light from the sample chamber.

All of this makes the SpectraAlyzer GRAIN NEO a powerful choice for fast, accurate whole-grain testing – from intake and trading to processing and quality assurance.

The SpectraAlyzer GRAIN NEO is an all-grain analyzer and quality control instrument designed to analyze solid bulk materials using diffuse transmittance (NIT).

 

Each instrument is delivered with pre-installed standard calibration models for a wide range of products, parameters, and regional requirements – making it ready for routine use from day one. Typical applications include:

 

Grain trading/reception/malting
  • Wheat, durum wheat, rice, barley, mustard, sesame, corn, soy, groundnut, malt, green malt, rye, oats, triticale, sorghum/milo, lentils, beans, green and chick peas and others.
Flour milling
  • Wheat and rye flour, semolina, ground wheat, rice meal and flour, soy meal, corn meal and flour and others.
Oilseed crushing
  • Soybean, canola/rapeseed, sunflower, mustard, groundnut and others.

All calibrations deliver accurate analytical values and are 100 % transferable between instruments, ensuring consistent results across locations and fleets.

Flour testing with automatic Flour cuvette

For powdered products such as wheat flour, an optional Flour Module is available. It features a dedicated cuvette that is inserted into the measurement chamber and moved along the optical transmission path by a stepper-motor drive. By scanning the flour at multiple positions within the cuvette, the system analyzes a larger portion of the sample for more representative and stable analytical results.

The Flour Module also supports adjustable optical path lengths, making it suitable for analysing a wide range of flours and other ground or powdered products.

Test weight module

Each SpectraAlyzer GRAIN NEO analyzer can be equipped at any time with an optional test weight module – also known as bushel weight, hectoliter weight, or specific weight – to determine the volume-to-weight ratio of your samples. The results are comparable to those from a quarter-liter reference tester, and the module can be easily retrofitted by the user. Easy access to the device enable easy cleaning and maintenance. The add-on item is seamlessly integrated into the instruments’ operating software and can be easily configured.

The test weight module enhances the versatility of the SpectraAlyzer GRAIN NEO by allowing users to perform comprehensive grain quality assessments within a single device.
